TinPix and Friends mobile photography exhibit in Kuala Lumpur
I’m consistently amazed by the wonderful—and global—iPhone photography community. This hit home recently when I got an email from Zam Nayan of TinPix, a mobile-photography group based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The group recently held a mobile-photography exhibition, and judging from the photos, it was a terrific event.

Las Vegas + Hipstamatic = “Vegas from the Hip”
Mash together Las Vegas and Hipstamatic, and what do you have? You’ve got “Vegas from the Hip,” a photography exhibit of 99 images of Las Vegas, all shot with iPhones and the Hipstamatic app. The exhibit opens at Nevada State College at 5 p.m. on Friday, April 29.

Gregory Robinson, an assistant professor of English at Nevada State, coordinated and curated the exhibit. As he notes, “The saturated colors and the overall look of Hipstaprints seem to work well with Las Vegas.” I asked him a few questions via email.

Call for entries: iPhone photography exhibit at the Orange County Center for Contemporary Art
Pixels: The Art of iPhone Photography is calling for entries for an exhibit of iPhone photography at the Orange County Center For Contemporary Art in Santa Ana, California. The event will be held from March 31-April 30, 2011, with an opening night celebration on April 2. There is a $30 fee for five entries. Learn more.
