Animoto: 100 Photo Apps, Day 100

What I like: With Animoto, you can create MTV-style music videos, with a soundtrack and images zipping around the screen, just by selecting photos from your photo album, arranging them, and then choosing the tune to accompany your video.

Animoto turns the pictures on your iPhone into beautiful music videos! It takes just a few minutes to make one, and then you can share and collect them with your friends. Image Blender: 100 Photo Apps, Day 99

What I like: Here’s an app that does one thing, and does it well—it lets you combine photos for double-exposure and other effects.

This is a simple and clean application with a single purpose, blending together images. You can use multiple blending modes like Multiply, Overlay, Screen and many more. This can be used for a variety of things, like creating your own personalized filters. Or just merging two images as an effect. It outputs the same resolution as the background image you give it.

PicFrame: 100 Photo Apps, Day 98

What I like: This app lets you create a frame with multiple photos, offering some great options, such as the chance to add patterned borders, rounded corners, and to adjust the size of the frames.

From the app maker:

PicFrame allows you to join multiple photos into a single frame. Select a frame layout and then pan, zoom, mirror or rotate your images to the perfect position. Using a slider you can adjust the frame in real time, allowing certain images to have a larger space. The size of the border can be scaled and also a color or pattern applied to it. Images can be given rounded corners. As well as the popular square format you can pick 3:2, 4:3 or 3:4 ratios to save or share in.

What I like: SoundSnap lets you control your camera with your voice—an awesome way to grab discreet street photography images, as well as control your camera (with a shout) from a tripod.

What I like: iDarkroom is notable for its lovely bokeh and light leak effects, but it’s also got some other tricks, too, like a variety of frames and vignetting effects.

What I like: Cameramatic is billed as another toy-camera app, but it’s really more than that—a versatile tool for altering images with filters, frames, and light leaks. That’s because you’re not able to use it just to snap photos (like Hipstamatic, of course), but also to process images from your iPhone photo albums. Great effects and filters, a slick interface, and an all-around wonderful tool for image processing.
